Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Axiom Zero ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. The short version: everything you write stays on your device, we collect only pseudonymous usage statistics, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

Information you provide, stored locally:

  • Your name (optional) and date of birth (used to calculate your life-weeks grid)
  • Daily reflections and journal entries
  • Challenge completions, streak, and progress data
  • App preferences (reminder time, haptic feedback, reduce motion, theme)
  • Your onboarding answers (what you want to build, what stops you, your focus)

This data is stored on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. The content of your reflections is never transmitted to us or to any analytics service. We never see it.

Anonymous identifier:

On first launch, the app generates a random identifier (a UUID) on your device. It is not derived from your name, email, or any personal detail — we could not identify you from it. It is used to associate your subscription status (via RevenueCat) and usage statistics (via PostHog) with one pseudonymous profile, and it syncs through your personal iCloud so your app data survives reinstalls and device changes.

Optional iCloud sync:

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your app data (including reflections) is synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's infrastructure, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

2. Usage Analytics

We collect pseudonymous usage statistics through PostHog to understand which features are used and to improve the app. This includes events such as "challenge completed," "reflection saved," or "paywall viewed," along with non-identifying properties (for example, a challenge's category, or the word count of a reflection — never its text). These events are tied to the anonymous identifier described above, not to your identity.

We do not collect the content you write, your name, your email address, or your precise location. PostHog's privacy practices are described at posthog.com/privacy.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Axiom Zero uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. When you subscribe, RevenueCat processes your purchase information under your anonymous identifier. We receive only your subscription status (active/inactive) — we do not receive your payment details. RevenueCat's privacy practices are described at revenuecat.com/privacy.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect your name or email address within the app
  • We do not collect the content of your reflections or journal entries
  • We do not collect location data
  • We do not use advertising SDKs, ad tracking, or tracking pixels
  • We do not share or sell any personal data to third parties

5. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Axiom Zero schedules local notifications on your device: a daily reminder at a time you choose in Settings, a weekly recap on Sunday evenings, and — if you start a free trial — a one-time reminder before the trial ends. All notifications are generated locally on your device; no data leaves your device to deliver them. You can disable or re-time them at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

6. Waitlist (Website Only)

If you sign up for the waitlist on our website, we store your email address with Resend solely to notify you when Axiom Zero launches. We will not send marketing emails or share your address with third parties. You can request removal at any time by emailing hello@axiomzeroapp.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Axiom Zero is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your content lives on your device: uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored reflections, challenge data, and preferences. If you enabled iCloud sync, a copy remains in your personal iCloud until you remove it (iOS Settings → your Apple ID → iCloud).

To request deletion of pseudonymous analytics data or your waitlist email, contact us at hello@axiomzeroapp.com. For subscription data, contact RevenueCat or manage your subscription through the App Store.

9. Security

Your content lives on your device and is protected by iOS's built-in security. We don't operate servers that store your personal writings, which means there's no central database of your reflections to breach.

10. Third-Party Services

Axiom Zero integrates with the following third-party services:

  • RevenueCat — subscription management. Privacy Policy
  • PostHog — pseudonymous usage analytics. Privacy Policy
  • Apple App Store — app distribution and payment processing. Privacy Policy
  • Apple iCloud — optional data sync (only if enabled by you). Privacy Policy
  • Resend — waitlist email storage (website only). Privacy Policy

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
